The Justice district
On Lagoon Drive in RAIN Virtual Resort: the RAIN Justice Centre, with its moot courts and Arbitration Hall, and RAIN Peace House, where families, neighbours and others settle disagreements with a mediator. Everyone meets in the same room, from anywhere in the world.
Moot courts
Set a moot: the problem, the two sides, a bench of up to three judges, counsel for each side and a court clerk. It is heard in a real court room: a raised bench, a witness box, a table for each side and a public gallery. Judges mark each speaker; you publish the results.
Set a mootMediation
Say what happened and invite the other side. If they agree, a mediator from RAIN's checked panel meets you both, can talk with each of you alone, and writes down what you agree. It binds you only once you both sign. Free.
Ask for mediationArbitration
Both sides agree first that an arbitrator's decision settles the matter. The arbitrator hears you both, and any witnesses, in the Arbitration Hall, then issues the award. Free.
Ask for arbitrationThis is not a court of law, and nobody here gives you legal advice. For violence, threats, a crime, or a child in danger, go to the police or emergency services first. Cases are private to the people in them and RAIN; nothing said in a mediation or arbitration room is recorded or sent to an AI.
Moots open to watch
No public moots are set just now.
