Terms of use
RAIN Virtual Resort and RAIN VR Meet are run by RAIN (Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Nigeria). By making an account, joining as a guest, booking a ticket or entering any room, you agree to these terms.
1. You are responsible for yourself
- You are legally responsible and liable for everything you do, say, share, sell or fail to do here, and for the people you invite.
- You agree to indemnify RAIN, its staff and partners against any claim, loss, fine or cost that arises from your actions or omissions, your meetings, your rooms, your products or your services.
- Hosts, renters, building owners, shop owners, performers and other service providers are responsible for what happens in their meetings and spaces, for the lawfulness of what they offer, and for any licences they need.
2. Behaviour
- No harassment, threats, hate, impersonation, fraud, unlawful trade, or sexual content involving anyone under 18.
- Do not record, copy or share other people's words, faces or documents from a meeting without their consent.
- RAIN may remove content, close meetings, and suspend or bar any account that breaks these terms or the law.
3. People under 13
- Children under 13 join only through an invitation from their school, teacher or parent, who says so when inviting them.
- If you are 13 to 17, a parent or guardian must know that you use RAIN and must agree before you pay for anything.
- People under 13 may enter only classes, schools and other learning rooms, and accredited sports and gaming sessions led by a registered coach. They meet only their teacher or coach and their own class or team.
- Nobody may contact, invite or try to meet a person under 13 outside those rooms. Doing so leads to a permanent ban and may be reported to the authorities.
4. Payments, earnings and tax
- Prices are shown before you pay. Payments are taken by Paystack. Plans and passes are for the period shown.
- When you sell tickets or services, RAIN keeps its share and pays you the rest to the bank account you give.
- You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn here, and for any records the law requires of you.
5. Privacy and records
- A booked room is private to the people admitted to it. Other visitors and building owners cannot see or hear inside.
- RAIN keeps records of accounts, payments and who took part in each meeting. These records are protected, and are opened only by RAIN's senior administrator, for safety, to resolve disputes, or when the law requires it.
- Minutes and recordings are made only when the host starts them, and everyone in the room sees a sign while they are taken.
- RAIN handles personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act. You can ask to see or delete your data through the help form.
6. Safety in the resort
- People near you hear you when you talk, and people in the same taxi or plane hear each other. A private talk is heard only by the people in it; others see a small sign.
- Tap only people who are happy to be tapped. Each person chooses who can tap them, and has a personal space nobody may walk into.
- You can block anyone: you then never see or hear each other. Reports go to RAIN, which may warn, suspend or bar an account. A suspended account is stopped at the gate and from every room.
- Owning a building, advertising, starting a private talk, or tapping someone you do not know needs a confirmed e-mail address and phone number. Your number is never shown to other users.
7. The service
- The service is provided as it is. RAIN works to keep it available and secure but does not promise that it will never be interrupted.
- To the extent the law allows, RAIN is not liable for indirect losses, or for what other users do.
- RAIN may change these terms. The current terms are always on this page; continuing to use the service means you accept them.
